The University of Texas at El Paso The Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center

The Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts showcases the work of visiting artists who are nationally or internationally recognized, or on the verge of such recognition. The shows presented are a mix of the known and the up and coming. Past visiting artists have included Monica Bengoa, Marcos Ramirez ERRE, Patricia Henriquez, Jose Krapp, SIMPARCH and Vincent Valdez.

At the Rubin Center, UTEP students participate in organizing, mounting, marketing and relating to audiences about exhibitions. As geographic and ideological boundaries and borders in cultures become the subject of contemporary art, the Rubin Center emerges as the ideal venue for exhibitions of some of today’s most compelling ideas. Kate Bonansinga is the Director of the Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts.
