Water Garden

Other water interest is shown in the Water Garden, with a catchment area, or hueco, and a muddy mountain-seep spring, filled with cat-tails and rush. Native gambuia minnows consume the mosquito larvae population. (Hueco is Spanish for cavity or hole, and such rocky basins filled with rainwater are a principal source of moisture for desert wildlife.)
