Minerpalooza 2009 Attracts More Than 25,000 Guests

More than 25,000 Miner fans converged on the center of The University of Texas at El Paso campus Friday night for Minerpalooza 2009. The pep rally kicked off with the UTEP marching band, Golddiggers, cheerleaders and football players marching down Hawthorne Street.

Fans enjoyed inflatable games and live music throughout the night by Girl in a Coma, Fungi Mungle, Adair Lion, Enter and magician Robert Smith.

The annual block-party pep rally has been a popular UTEP tradition for the past 19 years.
